Extinction Rebellion Festival: 4 Days of Art, Music, and Teach-Ins for Earth (Crisis) Day
For the four days leading up to Earth (Crisis) Day, we’ll gather in Washington Square Park each day from 3- 8 PM to celebrate the earth and explore solutions to the climate crisis through art, music, and teach-ins.
Come be in community with fellow rebels and our allies to learn, dance, and create together as we imagine the future we want. Schedule for Day 3 includes:
3 - 3:30 PM: Singing Bowl Meditation
3:30 - 5 PM: Riders Alliance Presentation on the Future of Public Transportation in the City
5:15-5:45 PM: Compost Demo
6 - 7 PM: Heading for Extinction Talk - This talk will lay out the latest climate science that drives our urgency to act and outline how we can use nonviolent direct action to demand change.
7 - 8 PM: Presentation on Citizens’ Assemblies, our third demand, happening currently around the world
Plus art activities, food, and more!
We’ll be in Washington Square Park from 3 - 8 PM each day. Rain location: Barrow’s Pub (463 Hudson St). When you arrive, we recommend stopping by Home Base for the schedule and locations for the day’s events. Map:
