“Every time I slip into the ocean, it's like going home.”

reflection

Where in nature do you feel most at home?

Practice

Our fight for Mother Earth is directly linked to our love for Mother Earth. What stories of connection are we writing with our work?

Write a love note to Mother Earth. Tell her what you appreciate about her, how she makes you feel. What are your favorite parts of her body? What sounds does she make that you love? Which smells light you up? What are your favorite parts to feel in your hands?

Share aloud if you wish.

Go Deeper

In this essay, Charles Eisenstein asks us to “stand barefoot on the earth and feel the truth of it.” Not only a matter of intellectual understanding, our connection with the earth is deeper than numbers and graphs of problems. He asks for a reordering of our priorities and a “multidimensional healing response.” When we can feel with our hearts and bodies, we connect in a regenerative way to what really matters and to what really sustains us.
