Extinction Rebellion in support of Fridays For Future at Fox News

On Friday, June 27, Extinction Rebellion showed up at the Fox News Headquarter in Manhattan to support the school students of Fridays For Future. It’s the summer holidays but these young activists keep up their protest. While the students were performing a die-in, the Fox News breaking-news banner kept reporting on the “killer heat wave” in Europe. The hot weather has led to a temperature record of 113 degrees Fahrenheit in France. The heat wave is accompanied by a drought in the North and East of Germany where groundwater levels have not yet recovered from the extreme-drought-event of 2018. While Fox News is reporting the catastrophic effects of the climate disaster, no reference is made to how these changes come about and who is responsible for them. Extinction Rebellion will continue to support the struggle of the school activists and will continue to call upon media outlets to #TellTheTruth about the climate emergency.
