On May 20 and 21 2024, at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm, Blackbird Dance Company will present its inaugural program of work, "The Message", a 45-minute meditation in movement, song and poetry on the human experience of living under the specter of climate change.

Through poetry, improvised and choreographed movement and the organic relationship between singer and dancer, the work conveys stages of insouciance, recognition, paralysis and the weight of consequence.​
