The XRNYC Comedy Affinity Group welcomes new (and potentially new) rebels to “Laughing at a Time Like This” - New Rebel Welcome week edition!
“Laughing at a Time Like This: Comedy Screening and Chill” is a semi-regular virtual watch party where we gather to share examples of comedic works that tackle heavy topics like the climate emergency, and we try to show humor’s potential to influence social change. Screenings are followed by a casual, facilitated group discussion with people who love comedy (no prior comedic academic knowledge or professional experience required). We’ll laugh, cry, learn, share, and chat.
For New Rebel Welcome week, we'll spend a little more time than usual on introductions and we’ll talk a little about what Comedy Affinity Group is and what we hope to do.
