Join us for an evening on deliberative democracy featuring Dr. Carolyn Lukensmeyer who will speak with Robert Kolodny of Extinction Rebellion NYC’s Citizen Assembly team.

Dr. Lukensmeyer is a leader in the field of deliberative democracy. As the first executive director of the National Institute for Civil Discourse and the founder  of AmericaSpeaks, she has worked to bring people together from across the political spectrum to engage with the public issues that most impact their lives. Dr. Lukensmeyer formerly served as Consultant to the White House Chief of Staff and on the National Performance Review where she oversaw government-wide reforms. She was also the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ohio, the first woman to serve in this capacity.
