TELL THE TRUTH: Protest Action at the American Museum of Natural History

  • Diana Ross Playground (Central Park) 81st St. and Central Park West Manhattan, NY, 10024 United States (map)

No visitor to the American Museum of Natural History should leave the museum without learning about the urgency of climate crisis and the sixth mass extinction. Extinction Rebellion NYC is appealing to the museum administration and staff to do their jobs as educators and scientists and loudly proclaim our climate crisis status.

Seven times we have entered the AMNH and disrupted their most famous exhibits to highlight the fact that they are not doing what they can to educate the public about our climate crisis. The museum hides its climate exhibit in a dark corner hidden behind the planetarium. Join us Saturday, June 22nd as we demand that the museum fulfill its mission, tell the truth and bring an up to date, accurate climate exhibit into the main hall and educate all its visitors every day and every way about our climate crisis.

We will have t-shirts, banners, an open mic and Discobedience!

We will sing, dance, chant, rally and talk to people.

Come to the protest party! Exercise your protest muscle and first amendment rights, all at an iconic location - the American Museum of Natural History! Be a part of living history!
