The Community Gathering is a fun, regenerative space for new and existing members of XR to come together, build community and make connections. Everyone is welcome!
Every month, we hold a potluck and invite an XR NYC Working Group or A Community Group to lead a skill share.
This month, the new Tech Action and Solidarity Group will be leading the skill share. Prepare to get wiser in ways you didn’t even know you could be! Details to come, but for maximum participation, we suggest you bring a laptop or your favored communication device.
For the potluck, we invite everyone to bring a dish or beverage to share, if they are able. The potluck share is not a requirement. The most important thing to bring to the gathering is yourself :)
Reusable cups, plates and cutlery are always welcome to help minimize cleanup, but these items will be on hand as well. In keeping with XR’s principle of welcoming everyone, the choice of what food to bring is your own. We only ask that you come prepared to list the ingredients in any dish you bring.
A loose schedule for the evening is as follows:
6:30-7:15: Come help setup, mingle and enjoy the potluck
7:15-7:30: Invitation and introductions
7:30-8:15: Skill share led by the Tech Action and Solidarity Group
8:15-8:45: Time for connection followed by a group cleanup
