The Welcome Call develops new rebels’ understanding of Extinction Rebellion’s four demands, ten principals, Self-Organizing System, and the ways we have agreed to work together. This training will prepare you to host or support an on-line Welcome Call and help grow the movement.
You should have attended a Heading for Extinction Talk. a Welcome Call and an NVDA training before joining this training. Additionally, you should be curious about developing your understanding of Extinction Rebellion’s DNA and comfortable practicing communication these ideas to others.
Participants in the training must bring their own laptop (with a functioning web camera and fully charged battery) as well as a headset or headphones that work for video conferencing, as we will be practicing running calls during the training. It is recommended, though not essential, that participants register for a zoom account before the training.
The ticket price is to cover the cost of space and trainer. If $10 is a hardship for any reason whatsoever, a free ticket plus a Metrocard ride is available if you email xrnyc.events@gmail.com.
